Things in our life.

My honey took me out on the town for a date night and I don't remember why I had my camera with me, but I did. Oh! This was our Valentine's date! He took me to a wonderful steak house and then whisked me off to try some delicious chocolate waffles from an authentic Belgum restaurant. It was crazy good. (Janie, this is the place he wanted to take you to!) It was a great night. I love being married and taken care of so well. (Thank you Michael!)

This is Valentines day with the kids.

Here the kids were opening up their loot. It was fun to do something a little more than I usually do for this particular holiday.

This I just have to document because it is really sweet. Morgan for some reason has been sneaking in bed with Cole for the last little while. I don't know why, but her and Cole are buds sometimes and it is really heartwarming to witness. (Truly its a nice reprieve from the constant fighting that usually is taking place.)

This was a fun night! That poor victim there is my sis Cassandra. Her and the family came and stayed with us for the night and we LOVED the time with them. Mike and her have this relationship where they pick on each other. This is Mike showing her that he missed her.

These two little munchkins are two weeks apart. Bella and Morgan played really well I thought. Now that Cass is back we are looking forward to having them play together a whole lot more now!

These boys all played well together, they're are all little gamers. It was cute to watch them together. We are hoping to see them again in a few weeks.

The following pictures were taken while Mike was gone to Arizona and he thought it would be good to give his mom some updated pictures. These are the results of that photo shoot.

I love my babies despite the hardship of raising them! I would do it all again if I had to!

Bully Problem

We have been experiencing a bit of a problem around the house the last few weeks. What started out as a great relationship has slowly disintegrated into a unhealthy one. Its the same old story we have all heard,

"He is so cute and just a little aggressive at times but I know he means well."

You know, that story. Well, I am ready to admit it....I am totally scared of our rooster named Cole.

Its beyond just a little aggression! He will charge at me and the kids and I hate to admit that I run! Just today I went out fully loaded with my weapon of choice (a rake) and had to swat him off 4 to 5 times! I came in the house totally shook up.

What makes it worse is that Carson and Morgan were with me! So I told Carson to make a run for it and he did, but Morgan wouldn't so I had to pick her up and try and fight off the rooster with only one hand. (And yes, I was screaming for Mike and he never heard me!)

So needless to say,I am a little traumatized by the whole situation and I'm sure I ruined any credibility I had with teaching the kids courage under fire.

Annual Idaho Trek

This was the second year that I ran to my parent’s house for a mini vacation. ..It was nice. Again, as always, there was guilt when I left the kids, (why is that?) but I was still able to enjoy the time away. I know when I leave they are in excellent hands with their daddy. (Thank you Mike!)

I got their on a Thursday evening and stayed until Sunday. Some of the highlights were being treated to a nice lunch, working out with my mom, and visiting with other family members.

One of the many things I love about being with my mom is we know how to laugh..and laugh we do!

I hate to admit to this but I really resort to being a dork again when I get around family. I love to mess with my mom especially when she wants to get a good picture. I enjoy watching her reaction to my horrible little antics.

I LOVE the candid pictures where you get weird posses and real smiles. (I get my eyes closing in pictures problem from my mom.)

This little dittie is an idea I got off some blog. They are Valentines bags I made with my mom. The idea is to pull them out on February 1st and let everyone add little nick-knacks to them until Valentine's day. It was fun to do that, and the kids really enjoyed them.

I was able to squeeze in time to visit with a friend from 6th grade! This beautiful little, woman is Jill. I have super fond memories of my time with her...talk about laughing...wow, we would just laugh all the time it seemed. She has got a great sense of humor. I hope to rekindle our friendship, she is a keeper.
